Our Mission

Fly Without
Limits

The Desktop Pilots Society is a community built for anyone who has ever looked at a cockpit and felt the pull. We bring together home simulator builders, virtual aviators, and flight enthusiasts of every background — no license required, no experience minimum.

Members build real-to-life home cockpits, simulate routes across the globe, share builds and techniques, and stream their sessions to audiences worldwide. Whether you fly a Cessna 172 or a 747, this is your society.

Questions

Frequently
Asked

Who can join?
Anyone. The Desktop Pilots Society is open to all ages, all genders, and all experience levels. Whether you've been simming for twenty years or just downloaded your first flight sim last week, you belong here.
What is a desktop pilot?
A desktop pilot is someone who flies aircraft virtually using simulation software — from basic keyboard setups to full home cockpit builds with yokes, rudder pedals, multi-monitor displays, and motion platforms. The sim is the sky.
Do I need my own simulator?
No. You can join as a viewer, a learner, or someone just getting started. Members help each other build and configure rigs. Community knowledge is shared freely.
Can I stream my sessions?
Absolutely. DPS actively supports streamers on Twitch, Kick, YouTube, and TikTok. Share your callsign and channel with the community and we'll help you grow your audience.
Where is the society based?
The society was founded in Duluth, Minnesota in 2026 by Scott Palacheck, but membership is global. The skies have no borders.
